SENIOR CLIENT SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, SYMBIAN LEAD
The Senior Software Client Developer will be responsible for developing Boingo's award-winning client software, including architecture design, development, documentation, and maintenance of our WLAN (Wi-Fi) software clients for consumer and partner use.

Responsibilities:

Hands-on client software architecture and development

Application design, coding and implementation, including functional specifications. Execution for multiple branded versions in multiple languages on multiple platforms (Windows, Windows Mobile, Mac, Linux, Symbian, etc.)

Requirements:

Extensive experience with Symbian (S60 and/or UIQ) minimum of 5 years

Extensive experience with C++ minimum of 5 years

Experience in development through the entire life-cycle including design, architecture, and implementation

Experience with cross platform development

Highly skilled in the use of object oriented programming techniques

A background in developing client software that has been distributed onto millions of desktops

Proven full life-cycle experience in development of PC and/or PDA based client software, preferably network or communications software, which was commercially released for use by a broad audience and went through at least one upgrade cycle

Platform list will expand to include Linux, Symbian and possibly other embedded devices, so the ability to adapt to new environments is essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with non-engineers as well as engineers

Experience with unit testing frameworks

Ability to work in a dynamic industry that changes daily


Nice to haves:

Experience with MS Windows Mobile SDKs desired

Main Responsibility Area
The Technology Communications Manager will take ownership for the development of executive speeches, talking points and web content for the Office of the CTO (OCTO). This person will be responsible for working with the CTO in developing and supporting internally and externally-focused executive communications and marketing programs with the goal of evangelizing awareness and understanding of the company's technology vision, thought leadership and strategy. In addition, the position will be responsible for working cross-functionally within senior research and strategy management of Nokia to ensure engaging Op-ed pieces are being crafted and published by Nokia that drive the technology agenda forward across the industry. Responsibilities
• Craft story lines, write and edit speeches, talking points and other communications material for the CTO.

An acclaimed specialist in one area; demonstrates depth/breadth of knowledge/skills in own discipline. Anticipates needs, investigates the underlying causes and identifies short and long term solutions.

Requirements
• Experience engaging directly with and influencing C-level executives
• Demonstrated ability to build a reliable network of contacts and to cultivate relationships across cultural and geographical distances to help achieve fast and exemplary results
• Proven project management experience, preferably creating and executing major communications plans (examples of executive speeches, product launches, media strategies)
• 5-7 years experience in technical marketing

I had the pleasure of spending a few minutes last week with John Carney, former Senior Vice President of Sales and Operations at T-Mobile, and currently the Chief Executive Officer of Affinity Mobile, a global provider of mobile financial services.

John Carney is nothing if not passionate about the mobile industry. In this interview, he shares his vision for Affinity Mobile, and how their mission sets them apart from other companies in the mobile space.

Femtocell IP Design Engineer - Dallas, TX

The positions will be a key contributor for IP based CDMA product.

Candidate will be responsible for IP Network design and will also be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the IP functionality of the product. Primary responsibilities involve, but not limited to:

product design, algorithmic network design, operator network design and Patent filings. The main output of this position requires capture customer requirements, design proposals, vendor product selection and compliance, oversee product quality, and customer presentations.
